Your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel or the airport in Kigali for a briefing. You will enjoy a 4-to-5-hour scenic drive across the terraced Rwandan highlands toward Gisenyi. Cross the border into the Democratic Republic of Congo at the Goma Grande Barrière, clear immigration, and obtain your specialized park tourism visa. Travel onward into the forested foothills of the park to check into your lodge for dinner and rest.
