Kidepo Valley National Park is located in northeastern Uganda near the borders of South Sudan and Kenya. It is one of Uganda is most remote and scenic parks, covering about 1,442 square kilometers. The park features wide open savannah plains, rocky hills, seasonal rivers, and beautiful mountain scenery. Kidepo is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and many antelope species. It also has over 470 bird species, making it ideal for birdwatching. Visitors enjoy game drives, nature walks, bird watching, and cultural visits to the Karamojong and Ik communities. The park offers a quiet, untouched safari experience and is best visited during the dry season from September to March.
