Set on a peninsula jutting into Lake Victoria, Entebbe is most travellers' first taste of Uganda and a destination in its own right, with a century-old Botanical Garden, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, and the chimpanzee sanctuary on nearby Ngamba Island.
